I was really excited to visit Centro Storico Montecarlo, as it is a famous landmark in Capannori. That's why I chose to stay at Relais Del Lago, and it turned out to be a great decision. Apart from its convenient location, one feature that pleasantly surprised me was the concierge services. The staff was extremely helpful and provided excellent recommendations for exploring the nearby attractions. , I loved dining at Ristorante Serendepico, where I could enjoy delicious food while taking in the beautiful garden view.
Our timing was bad. I would have liked to be there when the restaurant is open ;

Our hosts were more than generous and welcoming, they did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The pool was also fantastic, and the resteraunt is divine! Highly recommend!
The B&B dont serve lunch, and as we didnt have a car it meant we had to cycle for 15mins each way to get to a local resteraunt (which was quite average). So definitely recommend hiring a car if you stay here. With a car- its a fantastic place to stay!

Friendly without being invasive. Nicely set in a tuscan valley near Lucca you can feel immediatly the attention for details. The design doesn't neccesarily follow the latest fashion. Like at home, objects, sculptures, books and furnitures are connected with the family that runs this beautiful b&B. A great pool and a wonderful gourmet restaurant completes the scene.

We stayed at Relais Del Lago for 8 nights during our honeymoon in Tuscany. The owners were excellent hosts, helping us with information about the surroundings. The spa suite and the hotel facilities were very satisfying. The restaurant served delicious meals with a good selection of wines. The location in the hills of Tuscany was stunning, with easy access to Lucca, Florence, and Pisa. The Japanese chef at the restaurant cooked amazing Italian food. The hotel had a wonderful "Italian countryside" style, with a cozy fireplace and art books. The pool looked inviting, and we enjoyed our stay despite the bad weather.
Can recommend this hotel.

It felt like at home, like a family home. It wasn't pretentious, the staff were very nice, helpful and open minded. The food at the restaurant was exquisite. We had a breakfast in bed and we hired some bike to visit the stunning surroundings.
The swimming pool was close, but I let it go because it was the beginning of the spring. I will just go back in the summer :)

Lovely small hotel / B&B, located in a beautifully restored old house in the hills near Lucca. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are tastefully furnished and equipped with airconditioning. Great service, which includes free drinks and snacks in the minibar, free coffee and tea and a lovely (small) restaurant attached to the property. Beautiful garden with a great view and a nice pool (not heated).

It's situated in a picturesque location, surrounded by beautiful gardens and a serene lake. The family-run atmosphere of the hotel made us feel right at home. The owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful, ensuring that all our needs were met. The rooms were tastefully decorated and comfortable, providing a relaxing space for our family to unwind after a day of exploring. The included amenities, such as the pool and gardens, provided ample opportunities for our children to play and have fun. a perfect family getaway!
For dads, it would be great if the hotel had a dedicated play area or activities specifically tailored for children.

What a wonderful place!!! The building and the rooms are romantic and beautiful ones, the surroundings too, the place is decorated with a good taste. The owner family is really helpful and takes good care of the guests. Breakfast was really really good! Also the restaurant is a high quality place. We had the tasting menu and I must say it was one of the best I have ever had. The personnel was so great! The owners also recommended a restaurant 300m far from the place. We didn't go there but it looked really nice. There are also other places to eat at quite close to the place. In addition it is easy to visit the wine yards really close to Relais Del Lago. I will definetly come back some time, hopefully soon =)

Spent an amazing Christmas at this hotel! the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. the location was absolutely stunning, with beautiful views of the surrounding nature. the hotel offered wonderful amenities, like a heated pool and a cozy fireplace in the common area, perfect for gathering with loved ones. Plus, the food at the on-site restaurant was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from.
That the Wi-Fi signal was a bit weak in some areas of the hotel, which made it difficult to connect at times. the room decor was a bit outdated, and could benefit from a more modern touch.

More of a b&b with a resturant that a hotel. Very pleasant and helpfull staff. Room was very good with airconditioning. Free items in mini bar. The veiw across the valley was excellent. Pool and area was excellent with a secluded lake if you wanted it. There was a good variety at breakfast with tea and coffee available all day. Very relaxing atmosphere with family feeling. Close enough to drive to Lucca.
No bar available until about 4pm. Reasturant food was excelent but was slightly expensive with small portions.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hidden gem in the hills of Tuscany. The couple who run this place are incredibly attentive and go above and beyond to ensure their guests have a memorable experience. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the warm and personal welcome to the small touches throughout the property. The on-site restaurant is excellent, and we highly recommend making a reservation to enjoy the delicious Italian cuisine prepared by their talented Japanese chef.
We felt very comfortable during our stay and had no complaints whatsoever.

We have been traveling the last 4 months around Europe and this may have been our favorite stop. Great hosts and good breakfast. Rooms are very cute. You should bring/rent a car to get there and you should visit the surrounding cities.
